We are currently seeking a Threat and Vulnerable Management Security Engineer to assist with day to day TVM operations.

Identify and resolve potential security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
Operate and maintain information security systems to protect data from unauthorized users
This person will also ensure the secure operation of the organization's computer systems, servers, and network connections. The TVM Security Engineer will conduct both network and user activity audits where required. Determining security needs, developing and implementing solutions, and creating and enforcing security policies are essential tasks for this position.

o Working with internal customers to remediate problems
o Maintaining a broad knowledge of developing threats
o Troubleshooting security-technology related problems
 Monitoring ISS Site Protector NIPS/IDS logs and reports
 Monitoring McAfee EPO Server logs and reports
 Monitoring NetIQ - Vulnerability Manager Console
 Assist with security evaluations of computing services and applications
 Coding and scripting of security tools
o Conduct Incident Response actions and maintain/promote effective IR Procedures
o Work with Peregrine Service Center Help Desk system to task, track, and report on security remediation activities
o Assist in the roll out of new technologies including McAfee HIPS, NetIQ Compliance tools, and SIM products like ArcSite or Cisco Mars

Experience/Skills
Required qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience, or five plus years of relevant industry experience. This position requires frequent high-level troubleshooting of complex systems as well as demonstrated expert level knowledge and a systematic, analytical approach. The successful candidate must be able to work well within a team, accept direction and responsibility and collaborate with technical peers to develop superior solutions.

Internal consulting with technical and non-technical groups is necessary. The selected candidate must possess superior self-management, documentation, project planning and implementation skills.
