Berean Group is seeking a Security Engineer

Position Description:




Successful candidate will replace CA Etrust with Sophos security suite. Project is anticipated to last for 12 months considering the scope of the project which includes the deployment of the anti-virus/anti-spam software to the enterprise servers, desktops, and laptops. Will assist IT Security department in planning, deployment, and stabalization period.



Skills/Experience:



Required Skills:

Working knowledge of anti-spam and anti-virus suites. Advanced server and desktop troubleshooting skills. General security experience including Active Directory management, and security policy enforcement.



Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of networking and firewall technologies.





Preferred Education:



Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Sciences. Any other degree with minimum of 5 years of Information Technology work experience.



Required Certifications:


Security+, SANS certs, or CISSP. Operating System certification such as Windows or Linux.



Notes:




No H1 candidates are allowed only two submissions allowed.

Contract is expected to be extended because some of the deployments will not occur until after Dec '08. Can only provide contract until Dec 26 because 2009 budgets are still pending senior mgt approval.

Minimal travel. Depending on the deployment schedule. We have remote offices throughout the world.

Candidate must pass a SSN verification 5 yr statewide criminal background check.
