SOC Team Lead

Job Description
The successful candidate, in cooperation with the Manager of SOC Operations, will lead the day-to-day operations of a team of firewall analysts and engineers in the Providence, RI Security Operations Center.

- Plan, organize, and maintain an effective Security Operation Center organization composed of qualified personnel, properly trained in their respective jobs to ensure reliability of disparate client security devices.

- Lead Security Operations Center personnel including providing performance reviews, real-time feedback, and assisting in career planning and promotional opportunities for SOC staff.

- Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction within the Security Operations Center and among his/her employees.

- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of metrics that enable and track the highest degree of productivity, supportability, and operational readiness.

- Ensure short-term customer support objectives are met while supporting long-term Corporate/Departmental goals and strategies.

- Quickly spot problematic trends and take proactive steps to mitigate impact to Customers, while escalating for long term solutions to other operations departments.

- Organize processes internal to the SOC for all customers, as well as organize all cross departmental processes into and out of the SOC.

- Energetically and proactively participate in client escalation calls in real-time.

- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

- Significant on-call responsibilities

Experience
- 5 years Network/Security Architecture or Operations experience

- Experience managing Operations teams, preferably network/security operations centers

- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large scale networks

- Experienced at network and system troubleshooting, monitoring tools, alarm conditions, and escalation processes and procedures.

- Excellent customer relations, people management, and technical leadership skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization.

- Must enjoy working in a high pressure, fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
