Description
Will serve as an escalation point for tier 1 engineers; perform implementation & suport of Managed Security Services; Monitor SOC sy stems including: HPOV, NMS, SIM, IPS management stations, firewall consoles, etc determing relevancy & accuracy; Perform firewall rule updates, upgrades & patches per change management process; Initiate security incident response including tracking & recovery actions & participate in incident remediation activities internally & with the client;

Analyze & validate the network & host based intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems to ensure they are properly configured & operational; Perform upgrades, patching & maintenance on all security devices & systems as required; Take direction from Tier III engineers to remediate security incidents internally & on client networks; Assist customers in or facilitate the implementation of protective & mitigating security controls as required;

Follow incident response & problem management procedures to mitigate customer issues; Perform on-call duty and the wearing & carry of an on-call pager or cell phone; Responsible for safeguarding company information & equipment & reporting security breaches per the Information Security Response Procedure.df-tc

Experience/Skills
IP network addressing; routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; LAN switching including IOS/CAT-OS, Spanning Tree, 802.1Q; Wireless Networking; experience monitoring & managing Intrusion Detection/Prevention (host & network); Firewall experience including Netscreen PIX & Checkpoint; Java, Pearl; NAT/PAT experience; LDAP/RADIUS/Two-Factor Authentication; IPSEC VPN implementation and troubleshooting experience; Network protocol analyzer experience; Vulnerability scanning experience; Unix/Linux administration experience
