Description
The Security Overlay Representative is responsible for providing security solutions expertise to maximize profitability in transactions involving both security consulting and technology sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

. Provide sales support that will result in the achievement of the annual product and services margins.
. Assists Sales Representatives with customer calls as needed to provide security solutions and product expertise.
. Partner with the sales force to achieve quota in all product lines by creating the buying preference for products with technical influencers and technical buyers .
. Provide technical depth to the sales process by assessing customer needs, identifying and recommending solutions, presenting and differentiating technologies and products.
. Provides debriefing on technical issues and opportunities presented during sales calls.
. Address technical objections and questions. Consults with Technical Consultants on highly technical problems.
. Builds and maintains local vendor relationships.
. Provides direct customer support and consultation. Provides management, executive and technical level oral and written presentations of results along with recommendations arising from projects.
. Advises sales and sales management on customer requirements, sales strategies, equipment configurations, and structure of service offerings and technology issues that aid in the sale and leasing of products to company's customers.
. Builds and maintains technical and market knowledge of product area.
. Leverage selling opportunities to include key company programs, such as: e-Services, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

. Two years minimum experience working in an information security environment.
. One year in a sales environment preferred.
. Strong track record of accomplishments and results.
. The ability to understand customer needs and link them to company.
. Ability to build strong relationships with local vendor personnel (i.e. Cisco, Check Point, etc.) is critical for success to drive Security Solution sales.
. Independent self-starter, effective team player and creative problem solving skills to help the organization achieve its? GPM objectives.
. Requires strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication necessary to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
. Four-year college degree preferred.
