Senior Engineer Technical Liaison

Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the U.S. government. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.

Project
The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) is responsible for developing and supporting the deployment of a domestic system to detect illicit attempts to import, assemble, or transport a nuclear explosive device, special nuclear material or other radioactive threat. Parsons project team, based in Arlington, VA, provides systems engineering support to DNDO for the development, acquisition and deployment support of advanced nuclear threat detection systems. This includes the Advanced Spectroscopic Portal (ASP) program systems and the Cargo Advanced Automated Radiography System (CAARS).Together, these systems will be used to inspect cargo conveyances entering the United States while not adversely affecting the flow of commerce.As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to the security of the United States and safety of future generations.

Need
Parsons is seeking a Senior Engineer Technical Liaison to perform a wide variety of systems engineering activities related to complex, non-intrusive inspection equipment. The successful candidate will be working with a multi-disciplined team and will be asked to make accurate and efficient contributions to development/analysis, trade studies, specification development, design, risk management, verification and validation, testing (e.g., DOORS software tool), logistics, reliability, maintainability, technical and program reviews, System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), Production Readiness Review (PRR), manufacturing and reducibility, configuration management, and technical interchange meetings. Some travel is required.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in systems engineering processes and preparing associated products
Experience working with the Department of Defense, Energy, or Homeland Security System Development Program office is desired
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
Proof of U.S. citizenship is required
