We have an immediate need for a Senior .NET Application Developer. JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking a Senior .NET Application Developer to work with a dynamic marketing industry client. This team is responsible for development of the on-line classifieds, ads and Websites owned and operated by our client. The Application Development team develops, enhances and maintains an efficient, scalable architecture that deliver advertiser and user focused products with market leading features. Improvement and quality delivery of new and existing applications is the key focus of this team. The Senior developer plays a key role in developing and enhancing the companys next generation of Web applications build using best practices and the latest Microsoft and associated Web technologies. We seek individuals with exceptional coding skills, a strong aptitude for problem solving, a keen analytical sense, outstanding collaboration and communication skills, a high level of resourcefulness, and proven ability to get things done. PRIMARY FUNCTION: - Develop industry leading software for consumer websites, internal and external apps including CRM, Ad Management, and Reporting features. - Utilize several Front End and/or Back End technologies, including XHTML, Javascript, CSS, SOA, AJAX, .NET framework technologies (C#, MVC, Webforms), SQL Server, and associated technology to develop quality consumer applications. - Work collaboratively with the product managers and the other development team members. - Experience integrating with an Enterprise Class search engines like Endeca, Autonomy, or Vivisimo is a plus. - Ensure proper development of technical specifications and documentation. - Estimate resource usage and timelines for projects. - Follow best practices for code development and promotion including unit and other functional tests, code review, and utilizing standards-based processes. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - BS in Computer Science - Minimum of 3 - 5 years hands-on experience in software and/or dynamic Website development in a high-volume, transactional environment. - Strong skills in .NET software development. - Advanced understanding of Web application programming architectures, including the 3-tier model and the inner workings of HTTP, cookies, etc. - Knowledge of latest Web technologies with understanding of AJAX and RIA. - Experience working with product managers and other business stakeholders to set timelines and manage expectations of the development process. - Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills. - Ability to learn new things quickly. - Excellent team player with solid communication skills.
