Prominent company headquartered in Atlanta is seeking a Sr. .NET Developer for their Southeast Atlanta office. In this role you will work in a team of 4-6 developers and focus on transactional .NET (ASP.NET,VB.NET) Web development projects. One of the first projects will be a Website for for their sales group that includes quotation, pricing and order management tools as well as a host of other applications. The projects are full life cycle and in an agile development environment. You will participate in the full cycle of development-including design and development. Additionally, the company is using the latest database development tools- so you will have the opportunity to build application reporting, database analytics, and data warehousing using MS SSRS. You will also build data cubes with MS SSMS. They are in the process of moving to SQL Server 2008.

Primary responsibility is software architecture and development. Additional responsibilities include participation in project time/task estimation, code and architecture reviews, documentation of system architecture and an integral role during all phases of the development life-cycle (project definition, process mapping, architecture, coding, acceptance testing, installation, turnover to support, etc.).


Required Experience and Knowledge:

* Experience with .NET 2.0/3.5 platform

* Experience with VB.NET and ASP.NET (this is not a C# position)

* 2-4 years transactional Website development experience on the Microsoft platform (don't need content/marketing Web developers)

* Experience with the AJAX framework

* Experience with writing SQL (Oracle experience preferred)

* Experience with data access through ADO.NET

* Java script skills (basic)

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to quickly get up to speed via self-paced training

* Willing to work in a team based development environment

* Bachelors Degree/Computer Science, MIS or equivalent


Preferred Skills

* Telerik controls or other 3rd party software experience

* Database experience with SQL Server and DB2 databases

* Web farm experience (deployment and troubleshooting)
