Description
Our client, located in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, is seeking an AIX Administrator for an immediate CONTRACT position. After initial training, hours will be from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Details include:
JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide support for Operations, application developers and help desk organizations

Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair Linux and AIX operating systems, server hardware and related peripherals with guidance from experienced systems manager

Receive and resolve 1st and 2nd level Linux and AIX calls from all North American sites according to priorities and time frames specified within IT Service Level Agreements

Initiate and coordinate trouble calls to repair vendors as required

Assist and guide support and data center groups in establishing backup, account management, change management, and recovery management routines

Daily administration tasks related to the operation and maintenance of existing Linux and AIX
servers.

Install and configure Linux and AIX hardware, software, and associated components as well as internal and external application software packages

Needs assessment, planning, and procurement of new servers and peripherals

Contribute to an environment where the culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers

Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have 3-5 years experience with AIX HACMP

AIX 5.2/5.3

2-4 years Linux / Unix admin experience

Experience administering Linux servers in a LAN/WAN environment.

Good to advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

A clear understanding of, and a passion for company values and principals.

Four Year Degree

Use creative problem solving skills in conjunction with the companies core values.

Communicate and partner with coworkers across all levels of the organization.

Strong strategic, analytical and tactical abilities
