Description
Join the Quality Delivery organization and help make a difference around the globe as you analyze and report on data that will help drive quality initiatives across the organization.

1. Serve as the primary Technical Writer for the Quality Delivery organization with your main focus being the monthly Quality Review. The monthly review communicates HTSU's performance to its customers and helps to drive quality change in the organization. Analysis of data, including trending, is key to the position. Must be able to turn data analytics into meaningful textual content.

2. Liaison between HTSU and Group for the bi-annual Quality Survey, helping to improve the survey content and process. Analysis of survey responses and the creation of meaningful graphs and analytics a must. Also manage the bi-annual survey for Human Resources where HR's services are evaluated by HTSU. This includes all aspects of the survey from survey creation to final reporting.

3. Lead facilitator of bi-weekly Quality Delivery Liaison (QDL) meeting including meeting minutes and follow up on action items.

4. Leadership of bi-annual Best Practices Summit. Includes site selection, agenda creation, securing guest speakers, survey creation and reporting, communication, and facilitation of meeting.

5. Review, update and post to Connect any and all documentation that pertains to GSD, Problem Management Policies, Change Management Policies, and Crisis Management Policies.

6. In general, a technical writer should be prepared to perform the follow tasks on daily basis.
> Analyze the needs of the target audience.
> Study data and conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter experts to understand the product or procedure.
> Index and cross-reference documents such as bulletins and manuals.
> Produce or arrange for illustrations, charts, and photographs to be included in publications.
> Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other writers or personnel.
> Prepare layout of material for publication.
> Prepare rough drafts of the publication for review with the project staff and/or customers.

7. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices.

9. Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company's Diversity programs.df-tc


Experience/Skills
This position requires an individual with:

- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, Journalism or related field, along with five or more years of practical business and technology experience, with proven experience in data analysis and technical writing.

- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Experience with other word processing tools is a plus.

- Technical Writers obtain and present specialized information within strict accuracy and format requirements. Technical writing requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time and strong organizational skills. Technical Writers use the following skills, knowledge, and abilities to accomplish their daily tasks:

> Writing - Communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience.
> Active Listening - Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate.
> Speaking - Talking to others to effectively convey information.
> Information Gathering - Knowing how to find information and identifying essential information.
> Information Organization - Finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information.
> Synthesis/Reorganization - Reorganizing information to get a better approach to problems or tasks.
> Active Learning - Working with new material or information to grasp its implications.
> English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

- Experience with ITIL methodologies, Global Service Desk (GSD) and TeamSite a plus.
