Summary of Position



Support the North American Domino e-mail and application infrastructure. Support voice, client/server infrastructure, and data communications including office systems, network planning and development and voice communications. Serve as project manager to provide consulting and analysis, selection, configuration, acquisition and installation of complex voice, data communications or server infrastructure hardware and communications facilities including peripheral and terminal devices. Coordinate and completes projects according to plan.



II. Principal Accountabilities



1. Assist in the analysis and evaluation of voice, data communications systems and communications hardware or server infrastructure.

2. Perform communications or server infrastructure projects, such as: reviewing vendor supplied technical descriptions and performance data and pricing information for applicability to specifications; installing and configuring hardware and software; installing and implementing vendor packages; assessing user needs for communications systems; and recommending voice, data communications, or server infrastructure standards.

3. Provide technical leadership and consultation to project team members as directed.

4. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.

5. Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company's Diversity programs.

6. Support the North American Lotus Notes/Domino application and mail infrastructure.

7. Provide off hours support as per the On Call schedule.

8. Carry out regular Domino server maintenance/upgrades according to established procedures.

9. Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis.df-tc

Experience/Skills
This position requires an individual with:

? A Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience with major or minor in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
? A minimum of four years experience in communications or client/server with demonstrated proficiency in specialty area (voice, data, client/server).
? Detailed knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino R5.x and ND6.
? Working knowledge of various hardware platforms especially pSeries, iSeries and Intel (Sun UNIX would also be helpful).
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to work as part of an integrated team that is geographically dispersed
? Experience of working with extremely large (globally dispersed) Notes/Domino infrastructures (in excess of 100,000 users and 500 servers).
