Description
Immediate need for a professional to fill the role of Senior Analyst for Unix Network Services in a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position will be responsible for providing technical experience in the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of network-based technology solutions that will ensure optimum performance, availability and recovery. This person will coordinate/consult with outside vendors on new initiatives and maintenance activities relating to networking technologies. Assist in the installation, configuration, administration, and system security of a multi-platform environment which includes Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux with strong systems administration techniques and procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Unix System Administration (3+yrs), Principle experience with Sun hardware & Sun Solaris Operating system, shell/script programming experience, enterprise backup system experience (Legatto), experience with SAN/NAS storage solution, specifically HP EVA technology. Technology proficiency in additional Operating systems, such as Linux and/or Windows. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Must have strong customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, strong documentation skills, advanced technical skills. This position does require participation in the on-call rotation schedule.df-tc
