Senior Application Architect (Permanent)
$100,000 -$118,00 + annual bonus at target (not sure if it will be 8% or 20%)

xScion Solutions is an Information Technology professional services firm supporting leading commercial clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are currently supporting a large healthcare insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for a very smart, technical Applications Architect that knows that leading edge technologies and has experience leading large scale applications and organizations to a component based/SOA architecture.

You will represent the Software Application Development group as the Senior Application Architect in working with architects from other groups (i.e. Data Architect and Enterprise Architect) to set the development direction.

Required:
- 9+ years in IT
- 2-4 years of application architecture experience
- experience in building and implementing a large scale transition to a SOA based application architecture including application development, integration, and data integration/data exchange.
- Java, J2EE, Websphere or WebLogic, XML
- Mentoring and teaching skills

Environment:
- large Cobol/CICS mainframe application running in the background
- front end development in Java, J2EE
- Websphere
- DB2/UDB databasedf-tc
