We are currently seeking to fill a Senior Application Architect - MAINFRAME position for our client in Coral Springs, FL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Salary: $60,000 - 75,000

Our client is a global leader in financial services, ecommerce, and information management. They are looking for a Sr. Application Architect ? MAINFRAME to join their team of 20!

Job Duties:
- Ensure adherence to established standards and may consult with senior managers on technology solutions.
- Supports existing business systems applications and may be responsible for leading technical aspects of a project.
- May be responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables.
- Work on highly complex projects and issues within functional technical area.
- Work more independently with IT functional units and business units.
- Recommend strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements.
- Coach and lead less experienced IT staff and business managers.
- Provide leadership on projects.

Candidate Requirements:
- Expert in Batch Cobol and other similar M/F languages and tools like file-aid, CICS and Unitech.
- Strong knowledge and desire to learn emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of full life cycle application development, methodologies as well as all functional areas in IT organization.
- Good understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business. - 6+ yrs of related IT experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Financial Industry experience strongly desired.

Up to 25% travel may be required.
