Description
Excellent direct hire opening in Westbrook, ME area for a senior application developer. Incumbent will be responsible for the development, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of business application software. Other responsibilities include: providing business expertise in analysis, design & development of business applications (all finance & customer service), including devising & modifying procedures to solve business problems; preparing specs from which programs will be written; designing, coding, testing, debugging & documentation of programs. Development of excellent relationships with other IT departments is paramount to ensure success & support of project, as is providing ongoing maintenance & support of applications by working well with internal clients and colleagues to come to a solution. Reporting of project progress to management will be required, including anticipation of issues that will interrupt project and working with colleagues to resolve them. STRONG, hands-on experience developing systems in multi-platform computing architectures & environments, EXPERT knowledge of SAP R/3, developer workbench & Data Dictionary, SAP Business Connector, Oracle & other relational DBMS's is a must. Superb interpersonal skills and ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms in writing. Superb project management skills are a must. Analyst must be supportive team member, seeing projects through from planning to implementation. 5+ years of experience in business application from design thru implementation in an online environment (in particular, finance & customer service). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent is required. Experience in manufacturing industry is desired.
