Description
Responsible for high level technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Provides technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. Documents design decisions, adheres to existing process guidelines, develops software components, mentors junior developers, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Converts specifications about business problems into programming instructions. Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary.
  • Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system. Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
  • Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.


    Qualifications :

    Technical:
    Data Warehousing - Concepts and Problem solving (problem analysis)
    ETL Tool - Ab Initio (preferred) alternatively any other tool
    Unix - Mandatory
    Database - Good knowledge of database platforms (TERADATA is preferred)
    Ability to translate Systems requirements to Data requirements/ High level Design and Low
    Level design

    Process & Soft Skills:
    Ability to create checklist and processes to review design and code
    Define processes to ensure code quality
    Strong communication skills
    Ability to interface with multiple groups to understand how requirements from various channels
    can be incorporated into overall design workflow
    Ability to mentor the developers technically

    Optional:
    Analyze and understand Physical data models
    Ability to defineNon Functional System Requirements - for an environment/applicationdf-tc

    Experience/Skills
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree
    • 3 Years experience in IT projects
    • 2 Years experience in ETL Design

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in MIS, Engineering or Business
    • 5 Years experience in IT projects
    • 4 Years experience in ETL Design
