Seeking a Senior Oracle Applications Developer that can be responsible for providing leadership, management, strategic design, administration and support for all technical aspects of the Oracle application and relational database technologies and integrated applications to ensure sound performance and reliability. Develop and maintain proper standards and change controls to application and database components.
Job Responsibilities: * Develop strategies to actively monitor and tune application and database for peak performance. Implements periodic database reorganization of tables and indexes to ensure optimal performance.* Lead, recommend and implement good architectural design for the Oracle E-business Suite 11i environment and the various tier components: underlying technology, products, file system structure, database objects and schema design. Ensures proper backups of the environment and leads any necessary restoration of application or database elements.* Provides troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance and leadership to development, analyst and user STARS for any issues associated with the Oracle E-business Suite environment. * Manages and implements developer and analyst requests. Defines and implements proper change control processes while maintaining efficient rules of application and database access and administration of user security. * Thoroughly reviews, analyzes, tests and performs application and database patching, manages and implements upgrades for Oracle E-business Suite 11i and integrated products such as accounts payable imaging.* Architects, leads, implements and refreshes non-production environments for development and testing use. Manages use of and access to non-production environments, refresh schedule and coordination with development and analyst STARS. * Provide leadership, management, representation, and assistance with enterprise projects.* Interviews, provides feedback on selection, and trains backup support STARS and Junior Oracle Applications & Database Administrator team members. Provides feedback on Junior STAR performance to management for use in annual reviews. Coordinates and works closely with other IT staff to manage tasks and ensure accomplishment of goals associated with the Oracle infrastructure.* Researches, recommends and defines new technologies to be used with the existing application to meet business needs.* Architects, defines and implements redundancy and Disaster Recovery solutions to ensure high availability of the Oracle environment. * Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: * Education: Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline. * Experience: 5+ years of experience managing Oracle databases including backup, recovery, capacity planning, reorganization, performance tuning and patching 2+ years experience managing Oracle E-business Suite applications (version 11.5.10 desired) including installation, upgrades, configurations, AD utilities, patches, Oracle support cases (TARs), and cloning Unix (preferably AIX or Linux) system administration and Shell Scripting desired Experience with Disaster Recovery and HACMP desired Experience with Oracle IAS (Portal and Single Sign On) desiredIf you feel your background is a fit for this role, please apply now!
