Senior Applications Administrator
The Senior Applications Administrator is responsible for developing and managing Business
Intelligence Reporting Applications, that need daily/monthly updates. The incumbent would also be responsible for analyzing the reports with his/her database skills. Reporting & Analytics applications will be the key area of emphasis for the incumbent. In addition to ensuring the integrity of the data loaded into these applications, the incumbent will be responsible for providing Production Support to these applications.

The incumbent will also provide on-going support to the analysts and the business users who need help with accessing the reporting applications and related procedures.
Review Business Requirements and identify opportunities to improve and maintain data quality and integrity of the Reporting and Analytical Applications like OutlookSoft and Business Objects.
This requires the ability to identify data sources, issues, and formula errors as well as interpret business logic rules and calculations. In addition, the candidate must perform investigative work, interact with business units, coworkers, and corporate accounting personnel and make appropriate recommendations as deem necessary.

Perform a variety of duties, including research, analysis, design, testing, and documentation of processes and reporting systems. Work closely with development and business analysis teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure consistent treatment of requirements. Maintain and modify existing specifications, including documentation of program codes and logic.

Specific Technical Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or an equivalent Information Technology Experience knowledge base.
- 4-6 years of significant RDBMS experience with SQL Server, preferably in multiple product
environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL and procedural SQL (Transact/SQL [MS] or PL/SQL [Oracle]) SQL: Filter conditions, Multi-table queries, Correlated Subqueries, Inner and Outer Joins, Aggregation Stored Procedures
- 3-5 years of experience in physical database modeling, design and development.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with: SQL (DDL, DML), advanced queries with T-SQL,
stored procedures, triggers, Tables, Indexes, database utilities, SQL views, and replication
technologies.
- Query optimization and performance tuning experience.
- Proactive monitoring and ability to help identify, troubleshoot and resolve real-time Reporting Database systems issues.
- Analytical skills sufficient to determine the source/resolution of problems of an extremely
complex nature.
- Ability to work under the constraints of strict deadlines and time pressures.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to mentor and train others and to participate in senior-level
management meetings.
Preferred:
- Application experience with a high level programming language (.Net, ASP/VB etc.). VB
preferred.
- Exposure to MS SQL Server 2005.
- Experience with automating export/import tasks using DTS and SQL Server Migrations.
- Knowledge of Business intelligence tools (SQL Server Analysis Services, OutlookSoft, Business Objects, MicroStrategy), OLAP systems and ETL tools.
- Experience with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) tools such as SQL Server DTS, Ascential, etc.
