Senior Applications Programmer - Java Web Developer

Our client was established in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501c(3) organization with a mission to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; help find missing children; and assist victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

Our client seeks an individual who will be responsible for development and support of software applications under the direction of the Chief Information Office (CIO).

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering or an equivalent or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Candidate must also have knowledge of Java language specifically Java Server pages, JDBC and SQL database access. Vast experience and familiarity with Solaris and UNIX operating systems are required; experience with Ruby on Rails preferred.

This position also requires Project Management experience and excellent problem solving skills. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are also required.
