Job Title: Senior Associate, Technology –SharePoint Technical Lead/Senior Developer
Reports to: Director
Department: Government Services
Location: Washington DC

Job Summary/Position Purpose:
The Senior Associate, Technology is part of the project team and takes technical leadership responsibility for the delivery of the project architecture, design, and deployment to include planning, estimation, coding, issue resolution and quality assurance in a SharePoint 2007 environment.

The technical lead will also be responsible for partnering with the customer’s technical team to ensure that the appropriate implementation and technical designs are agreed upon and tech standards are adhered to throughout the SDLC process.

The successful candidate will be self-directed and capable of providing strategic and technical leadership in delivering portal solutions in a highly customized and integrated environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan, architect, design and implement web-enabled portals.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 3-5 technical individuals
  • Senior Developer to work hands on with MOSS 2007 to develop highly customized portal/collaboration sites
  • Provide technical expertise and direction
  • Provide recommendations in portal vision and direction.
  • Develop conceptual and technical design including use of OOA and OOD techniques.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to identify and recommend workable solutions. Work with business users to gather requirements, write functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain standards and processes for portal development, as well as information architecture for specific implementations.
  • Demonstrate expertise with a broad set of development tools/technologies

    Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in portal design, configuration, tuning, installation, development &/or implementation.
  • Minimum 2-4 experience with SharePoint products
  • Extensive experience developing custom web parts in MOSS 2007
  • Extensive experience in .NET development
  • Strong understanding of CSS
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript (experience with jQuery a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree required and degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong communication skills

    Strongly Desired:
  • MS SQL Certifications, SharePoint Certifications
  • Experience working with government agencies
  • Experience in a Consulting environment.
  • Experience implementing large scale custom development and/or system integration projects in one or more phases of the SDLC.
  • Experience with MS Project and other scheduling tools/strategies - able to create a detailed project plan with defined tasks and communicate ownership to client and team leads
