Job Title: Senior Associate of Business Consulting
Reports to: Director of Business Consulting
Location: Arlington, VA and Washington D.C
Employee Status: Regular, full-time
Travel: <5%

Clearance Requirement: Must be able to successfully receive a DHS Public Trust


Job Summary:
This is a mid level position in the business consulting domain responsible for conceptualizing and generating business, operating and strategy deliverables, with a focus on business process reengineering and requirements gathering activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan for and facilitate user and/or stakeholder interviews, meetings and workshops to gather requirements and map business processes
  • Own business process definition and mapping of processes core to the client's business
  • Translate business processes into supporting system functionality and document requirements and user-system interactions supporting an area of an application
  • Drive the translation of business and user requirements into design – serve as a subject matter expert for requirements; act as the voice of the user on a multi-disciplinary team
  • Create and manage documentation to support requirements of a full system, e.g. use cases, wireframe development, process flows, requirements traceability matrix
  • Work with all users, including end users, site administrators, and managers to get feedback on current operations and requirements for new features
  • Develop and manage relationships with key clients, end users and stakeholders
  • Develop a model for potential results based on a business model; identify levers that can impact success
  • Contribute to the creation of multi-year, multi-program roadmaps
  • Collaborate with team on change management communications planning; identify potential roadblocks to change and the messages that will help facilitate the change
  • Mentor a multi-disciplinary team on requirements gathering and consulting activity best practices

    Experience Guidelines:
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience; government consulting experience is a plus
  • Has experience with the collection and refinement of requirements for a large scale system implementation
  • Has experience in and able to leverage automated tools such as DOORS, Requisite Pro, etc to manage requirements
  • Experience with iRise or other requirements visualization technologies a plus
  • Creativity with an eye to developing new and innovative solutions
  • Strong problem identification and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to create and deliver clear, powerful and concise presentations
  • Ability to plan and manage time and resources, establish priorities and meet goals
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio

    Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance

    Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required from college or University
