Job Title: Sr. Associate, Technology L2

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate, Technology is a senior technical member of a project team offering infrastructure and IT architecture support for a US Government agency. Key responsibilities include design, estimation, and development of new system modules, system utilities, and functional enhancements, as well as supporting deployments to a live environment and providing technical support to end-users. Other technical challenges implementation of a portal infrastrucutre, and working with team, partner, and government stakeholders to explain and convey the requirements, operational support needs, and benefits of a well-executed Portal solution. Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills.

The selected candidate will serve as the main technical expert to a technical infrastructure development team on all Websphere-related topics, especially WebSphere Portal Server, including the continued design, configuration, and implementation of WebSphere technologies to support a SOA-based application integration project at a major government agency.


Responsibilities:
  • Support configuration of Websphere software components, especially WebSphere Portal Server, in support of a WebSphere infrastructure
  • Architect and oversee the installation of software and hardware infrastructure (clustering, builds, networking)
  • Develop portal strategies for the WebSphere platform. Direct experience with Portal implementations with RedHat is preferred.
  • Conduct testing including all phases; systems, integration and performance and ensuring traceability against requirements
  • Work in an intensive team environment
  • Build and maintain working relationships with client and partner technical representatives
  • Mentor more junior team members

    Requirements:
  • US Citizen
  • Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance
  • 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in the following:
  • Extensive WPS/WAS 6.1 experience
  • Clustering
  • Integration with Oracle RAC
  • Integration with AD
  • Integration with Kerberos/SPNEGO
  • XMLAccess scripting
  • GUI-less Product and Fixpack installs
  • Performance Tuning

  • Development Experience
  • General Java
  • Portlets
  • Servlets/JSP
  • PortletSession
  • PortletPreferences
  • Login Filter
  • Themes (CSS, Javascript, AJAX)
  • Must be client-facing and capable of working in an often ambiguous environment
  • Previous experience supporting complicated projects with complicated business drivers and multiple stakeholders
  • Good writing and communication skills

    Desired:
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience implementing large scale custom development and/or system integration projects in one or more phases of the SDLC.
  • Experience on Government projects

    Education:
  • ¬¬ Minimum of a Bachelors degree (BA) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university
