Job Title: Senior Associate Tech (O&M Lead)
Reports to: Program Manager
Location: Bethesda, MD (client site), Arlington, VA (Sapient Site)

Job Summary:
The Senior Associate, Technology is a senior technical member of a project team and takes responsibility for a specific component or track of the project architecture/SDLC. This may include coding, planning, estimation, issue resolution and quality assurance. The Senior Associate is capable of and may be responsible for leading a team within the project.

Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills. The successful candidate will be self-directed, capable of performing development activities using best practices and standards, and capable of providing strategic and technical leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Will lead a team of 3-5 people responsible for providing application support for an enterprise application.
  • Help setup standard operating procedures (SOP) and operational run books for application support group
  • Manage TAR resolution process and maintain service level agreements
  • Design and development of application components based on Java or BPM technologies
  • Develop Object Oriented code and/or provide maintenance and enhancements to existing code, primarily using Java
  • Develop conceptual and technical design including use of OOA and OOD techniques.
  • Conduct testing including all phases; systems, integration and performance and ensuring traceability.
  • Mentor more junior team members.
    Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government clearance if applicable

    Experience Guidelines:

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in managing web based applications
  • Minimum 3 year in Java development
  • Sound knowledge about SQL and hands on experience with SQL Server 2008
  • Good understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing)
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

    Desirable/Ideal Skills
  • Experience with Agile development project
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint experience
    Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required from College or University
