This is a great opportunity to work at internationally recognized company located in Portland, Oregon area. The region is surrounded by rivers, mountains, wineries, 1 hours from the Pacific Ocean and1 hours from year round snow skiing. Job Title: Senior Business Analyst with Global/International Trade Finance experience Start Date: ASAP approximately 1/31/05 Duration: 11 months Location: Beaverton, OR Resources Required: 1 Maximum Pay Rate: $59/hr Qualifications: Must be able to work in the US without Sponsorship Must be able to work as our W2 employee: NO SUBCONTRACTING, 1099, Corp-to-Corp, etc. Overview: Customer is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst who offers knowledge and experience in Global Trade specifically the financial details associated with international trade such as payables, receivables, customs, import, duty taxes, etc. This project is an extension of the Vastera Global Trade application that was installed about 2 years ago and will involve the redesign of the application along with process improvements. The chosen Business Analyst will not be interacting with the specific business users to gather requirements but instead with a Subject Matter Expert (SME). In addition, this individual must be extremely flexible and not want to make immediate changes to the current process / methodologies being used. Background and experience with UML will be helpful in the future but the customer is not currently following UML standards. Any experience or knowledge of Vastera will be helpful but not required. This individual will be working with a team of 5+ individuals at any given time. Required Skills: 3-5 years as a Business Analyst with a focus on global/international trade finance related projects (You must have global/international trade finance to be considered). Sound knowledge of international trade details such as customs, bill of laden, duty taxes, etc. Ability to ask probing questions so that the needed information is obtained Strong documentation skills Extremely flexible and open minded Excellent verbal and written communication skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Unified Modeling Language (UML) experience is a plus Experience and/or knowledge of the Vastera global trading software Other: This is a contract position requires the work to be performed in a normal 40 hour workweek Mon Fri during standard business hours unless otherwise stated.
