Senior Business Intelligence Consultant

TrueBridge Resources is assisting a client staff a Strategic Business Intelligence Consulting opportunity. The location is the Philadelphia metro area.

Description:

The Strategic Business Intelligence Consultant needs to have the technical expertise identified below along with the ability to provide strategic solutions when there are technical challenges presented or identified. This role is a combination of someone who is a strategic thinker with excellent communications skills and technically savvy.

The Strategic Business Intelligence Consultant is responsible for representing the Information Management and Development group in projects
relating to data repositories and report generation across all lines of business. He/she will be involved in discussions regarding modifications of existing environments and the establishment of new systems.

Prior experience in analysis tools to query data repositories and/or generate reports is required to enable working with 3rd party vendors and other
in-house IT groups.

Responsibilities include:

* Translating business requirements into an actionable reporting/data repository implementations.

* Working alongside the other Information Management and Development subgroups during a project's inception to help ensure the physical design meets the functional and performance requirements of the end-user application.

* Leveraging major information architecture platforms and the experience of the Information Management & Development group to apply the best alternatives for a reporting/data repository solution.

* Identifying capabilities and features of each project solution and translating those through documentation and communication with the Information Management & Development group as well as the rest of Information Technology.

* Communicating information architecture concepts, disciplines and practices as they relate to reporting and data repositories.

* Helping to define and promote best practices on information architecture and reporting management.

* Applying business and application knowledge to understand the overall reporting/data model

Required Skills:

5-7 years of related experience implementing databases, datamarts, datawarehousing and/or Business Objects/Crystal

Strong SQL Server Development 2000 and 2005

Oracle 9/10 Development & use of TOAD

Business Objects Universe Development .

Crystal Reports & Web Intelligence Report Creation .

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in working with business personnel at all levels
