Mission:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Interfaces directly with customer on business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Interfaces with department managers to identify and resolve systems problems
* Participates in business systems planning and provides input on selection of methods used to decide new or modified systems
* Reviews user needs to define system scope and objectives and may define necessary documentation procedures
* Reviews projects against goals and provides status reports
* Applies knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as they apply to information systems
* Writes charter documents and estimates effort required for management
* Leads small to medium projects as required for success
* Generally responsible for preparing detailed specifications for new business systems programs or modifications to existing programs, and debugging, implementing, and maintaining those programs
* Evaluates users? business problems and data availability and recommend business systems solutions

Core Requirements:

This position is ideal for an experienced professional wanting to be involved with a dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

* Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in an IT related discipline, specifically with responsibilities as a business analyst or similar function. Candidate must have working experience with applications systems and databases. Multicultural and global experience is desirable.
* Substantial subject matter expertise for manufacturing and financial processes and systems
* Experience supporting finance, service, research and development, manufacturing and/or distribution users
* Coordinates testing and integration testing functions as needed.
* Determines and scopes project requirements for hand-off to other project personnel.
* Leads projects and project teams as required
* Determined to achieve the mission, sets clear and focused goals, demonstrates ability to accomplish them
* Effective Communication, strong customer focus
* Takes into account different dimensions (cross-functional, global, short and long term goals) to develop optimal solutions, shows understanding of how business and department processes interconnect within organization and among business divisions
* Anticipates changes and developments, guiding the business in shaping its processes and ways of working to continuously improve the business, understands implications of current and future business trends and translates these into plans and solutions
* Reaches appropriate resolution in many varied situations that requires gaining the cooperation of others in sensitive situations without damaging internal or external relationships
* Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
* Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors, uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective waysdf-tc
