We have an immediate need for a Senior Buyer

JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to work on client site in Pasadena, TX area. Buyer must have turnaround purchasing experience. 1+ year assignment offers competitive rate and benefits.

REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years procurement background within petrochemical plant or similar environment
- Experience in positions requiring knowledge of purchasing and materials management with demonstrated experience in contract development
- Multiple process industry turnaround experience
- Ability to issue purchase orders, negotiate contracts for third party providers both on/off site
- Negotiating commercial terms & conditions critical
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office tools
- Knowledge of industrial and government purchasing regulations (UCC) and price analysis
- Ensure accurate definition of requirements for assigned turnaround, qualifies, potential suppliers as needed, develops detailed request for proposal, negotiation terms/conditions and executes purchasing agreements consistent with client procurement and corporate controls standards
- BS or BA undergraduate degree preferred
