Description
Thompson Technologies has an immediate opening for a Senior C /UNIX Engineer. To qualify, you must have solid C programming skills and SQL experience. This is a 3 month contract-to-hire position in Alpharetta, GA.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing new applications based on a large data-centric system utilizing the following technologies; C , Java, Oracle 10, Web/XML, Solaris, etc in full life cycle design (SDLC). Other responsibilities include analysis, testing, documentation and support.

Required Skills:
6 years of software development experience required.
4 years of solid C/C programming experience required.
3 years of Oracle RDBMS and SQL experience required.
3 years of UNIX development required; Solaris preferred.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
Excellent communications and writing skills required.
Must be a quick learner and a self-starter.
Experience programming in PL/SQL is a plus.
Experience with OOD, UML modelling tools and the use of design patterns.
Ability to operate in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
