Project Scope:

Major health provider is searching for a Senior Level Network Engineer that can preform the following tasks:

Validate live hosts pre and post cutover (ping sweeps). Update DNS database (via NetID).

Update/generate pre-build connectivity matrices and generate as-built matrices-post implementation.

Report hardware changes-post implementation and Generate 2924 configuration scripts.

Validate switch configuration as well as maintain deployment schedule.

Communicate/escalate deployment issues and Update UB NetDirector with network topology changes.

Provide remote support to field implementation and engineering personnel at several locations concurrently.

Meet project documentation deadlines, attend multiple weekly meetings, respond to troubleshooting calls.

Please Note: Work week schedule will generally consist of 2 day shifts (700am or 800am - on) and 3 evening shifts (200pm or 300pm - on). Potential candidates must be extremely flexible during migration efforts start time can range from 3pm - 3am.

Experience/Skills
CCNA/DA certification or equivalent practical experience (6+ years) with Cisco products and software, including Catalyst switches. Proficient knowledge of Cisco IOS and CatOS. Ability to identify network configuration and/or performance irregularities. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, including; DNS, subnetting, and bootp. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel--specifically, formatting and generating formulas. Must also have familiarity with configuration and testing of Cisco terminal servers. Must be able to perform effectively in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining a high level of service. Must be detail oriented, thorough, and efficient in documenting network design. Must be able to work different shifts (day & swing) based on the tasks required. Must be able to communicate effectively and to manage multiple telephone conversations with different locations simultaneously. Ability to make decisions in a timely manner for resolution and/or escalation of issues.
