Berean Group is seeking a Programmer Analyst w/ Unix/Linux experience



Position Description:



We are looking for a senior level programmer analyst that is proficient in the UNIX and LINUX environments. Preference would be he/she would be able to do SQL quires, be able to use database reporting tools such as Toad and Crystal Reports and good knowledge of the application life cycle. If he/she has server experience it would be a big plus and has some experience working in a production environments that requires real time support for the users.


The candidate needs to be flexible in regards to the shift. It could be a Sunday-Thursday shift and some off hours. This will not be an 8-5 job. The schedule will be determined after the candidate is brought onboard.



Skills/Experience:



6-10 Years Experience Level.

C++ 01-03 Yrs.


Crystal
Reports 01-03 Yrs.


Network Troubleshooting 04-06 Yrs.


Remedy 01-03 Yrs.


SQL 01-03 Yrs.


UNIX 04-06 Yrs





Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position.


Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.

Strong in Development and database (SQL, Microsoft, .Net), Linux, Unix.

Need good troubleshooting and communication skills to work with vendor

German speaker a plus.

Have a good understanding of Linux/UNIX.

Understand basic database concepts and working knowledge of Oracle 9i, MY SQL, and MS SQL environments.

Able to write complex SQL queries, and work with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.

Working Knowledge of MS 2003 server.

Good understanding of server hardware such as RAIDS, SAN, cluster, and servers.

Must have understanding of networking concepts.

Have working knowledge of incident management tools.

Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis
