For instance, our ERP utilizes SAP and Siebel, with SeeBeyond ICAN/e*Gate as the integration layer for all our Supply Chain applications. And that's just one example of the dozens of upgrades and improvements currently underway.

As our Senior Content Engineer for Cognos, you'll work as part of our Global Business Intelligence (GBI) organization developing world-class information management solutions for Nike. The team you'll join is responsible for developing and deploying complex business intelligence solutions. You'll collaborate with BI Application Engineers and our business partners to develop certified reports and Framework models using Cognos on Teradata/Oracle/SSAS/SQL server/BW. You'll also provide guidance for other report developers in GBI, including building reusable components that other report developers can use to speed report development. You'll work with the team to ensure that the reports and user interface that is developed meets the business requirements. You'll set standards for developing Cognos reports in a way that integrates effectively with enterprise portal technology. Furthermore, you'll be part of a team providing training tools for regional IT groups to support tool utilization by business users. You'll be doing this work in support of Nike's BI rollout targeted at increasing Nike's competitive advantage through the use of business information to make key decisions. You'll gain exposure to global scenarios, which require technical savvy, communication skills and the ability to effectively multitask. In addition, you'll be involved in developing applications in an integrated BI solution leveraging the Enterprise Information Store.

Requirements for the position include:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science (or equivalent with focus on databases and data modeling) or a related field

- 5 years' relevant technical experience

- 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree

- Extensive Cognos BI 8 Framework Manager and Report Writing experience required

- 3 years' technical experience in developing business intelligence reports

- 2 years' experience with relational databases and or multidimensional databases and data-management tools

- 2 years' experience with data modeling for analysis and reporting

- 2 years' experience with business intelligence tools for information presentation and analysis

- Data Warehousing experience is preferred, including experience with Teradata

- Professional development education courses completed in decision support systems and analytical data modeling is preferred

- Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation
