Job Summary

Provides functional and/or technical expertise, services and deliverables in support of Wyeth's suite of SAP systems and products. Context of work can include development projects, deployment projects, minor enhancements and on-going support. Works independently on assignments and/or as a member of a project/support team.

As a Consultant on the SAP CoE Commercial Operations team, Pharma IS, you will be responsible for maintenance and enhancements of SAP functionality within the SAP WM module (4.6c or higher) for Sales and Distribution. The candidate will interact effectively with the clients, proactively identify long-term functional business requirements and represent the organization on technical matters. The candidate must be able to provide sophisticated technical and/or project leadership for large, cross-functional projects along with assisting in the testing of new functionality and be able to function independently with very general direction. Participation in future deployments of SAP to new sites and system upgrades is required.

The candidate must have SAP WM experience and an understanding of integration points among all SAP R/3 modules required to troubleshoot and resolve problems and assess the impact of changes. The candidate must be familiar with SAP MM/IM/WM data structures. The candidate must have good problem solving skills and be able to work with other application teams to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot SAP interfaces. The candidate must have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and team-building skills and be willing to learn and share knowledge with other team members. Candidate must have a sound knowledge of Supply Chain business concepts and processes and should be familiar with ABAP programming.The ideal candidate will have experience working with RF devices and SAP Console. The candidate should have been involved with multiple WM implementations and posses advanced knowledge of both Material Management and Sales and Distribution.

Job Responsibilities

Provides sophisticated technical &/or project leadership for large, cross-functional projects.

Develops solutions to complex problems, which are imaginative, thorough, and practicable

Develops overall project plan; may provide input to long-term IT strategy necessary to achieve organizational objectives.

Works with clients to proactively identify long-term functional business requirements; represents organization on technical matters; frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.

Work directly with clients to identify Business and System requirements, perform system analysis tasks, project development tasks and implementation tasks. Have the ability to function independently with very general direction.

Assist with the testing and documentation of new functionality.

Basic Qualifications

BS/BA / MS/MA + 12 years or PhD + 4 years or equivalent experience.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience. The candidate must have 7 years SAP WM Experience and experience working in a validated pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of regulatory requirements (Good Manufacturing Practices) is preferred.

SAP WM experience and an understanding of integration points among all SAP R/3 modules required. Good problem solving skills and ability to access the impact of changes on SAP systems is required. Prior experience with development projects, deployment projects, minor enhancements and on-going support for SAP required. Advanced knowledge of hardware/ software; wide application of knowledge in more than one major technical area.

Relocation is not available for this position.
