Description
Senior Consultant/ArchitectLocation: Los Angeles, CAJob Description:Solver is seeking a professional with a minimum of 7 years of IT and database tools experience including Microsoft SQL Server with a focus on Microsoft Analysis Services (OLAP) and/or Microsoft SQL Integration Services (SSIS). You must have demonstrated experience with ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tools and processes. This position will include working closely with the soon to be released Microsoft PerformancePoint Server 2007 solution. Converting business requirements to business solutions is a requirement. If you have created reporting and/or budgeting models with Cognos, Hyperion, Outlooksoft, Business Objects, SAS, or similar Business Intelligence applications you are the right candidate for this position.Responsibilities: * Developing the financial and/or operational data mart for Budgeting, Planning, Reporting, and Forecasting solutions * Create integrations to multiple data sources * Develop hierarchies in the DW * Reconciliation and cleansing of data * Scheduling of jobs to load data * Establish and articulate data flow from source to report * Capability to lead projects and interface with C-level client staffQualifications:Product Knowledge * MS SQL Server 2005 * Structured Query Language (SQL) * DTS Packages, MS SSIS in SQL 2005 * OLAP, SSAS in MS SQL 2005 * Data modeling and hierarchies * MDX experience a plus * ProClarity or other OLAP tools experience a strong plus * Basic understanding of budgeting and/or financial reporting a plus * Microsoft Visio Excel, and PowerpointProfessional Requirements * Degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics * Active cooperation in setting up and expanding best consulting practices * Collaborative inclination * Strong communication and presentation skills * Distinct understanding of IT-processes and solutions * Appreciation for Project Management Methodology * Ability to work with limited supervision * Results orienteddf-tc
