Senior Consultant ERP Systems

Overview:

NexTec (panies in the fast growth, middle and mid-enterprise markets.

We are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Senior Consultant to augment our Los Angeles practice. Suitable candidates will have a strong consulting background, strong project management experience, solid experience in either accounting, distribution or manufacturing, and experience with accounting systems such as MAS500 or Great Plains. The position offers a competitive salary, plus a generous bonus program, and an outstanding benefit package.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Consultant are:

* Provide consulting services to our clients in the implementation and support of complex accounting systems, specifically Sage MAS500 and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains):
- assume project management responsibility for large ($250K+) consulting engagements
- conducting requirements/design sessions, developing design specification write up
- working with implementation team to configure modules per design specification
- develop functional requirements documents for system modifications (screen and report)
- coordinate the environment / network preparation, coordinate and / or install the application
- design FRx reports, prepare pilot system for internal / client testing, coordinate and conduct pilot sessions
- coordinate and conduct user training
- plan, coordinate, and / or actually migrate data from previous system to new ERP system
- provide moderate reporting customizations
- support client through initial startup in new system
- project Manage implementation as it relates to resource assignments, budget, change orders, and overall communication
- support existing clients in all aspects of their application including add-on modules, new reports, troubleshooting errors, additional training to new employees, general strategy and value add advice.
- upgrade existing clients systems including setup of test environments, upgrade and testing of modifications, documenting modification results and coordinating with development team, executing live upgrade.
* Prepare Consulting Estimates
* Review Project Status on Weekly basis with Project Managers/Consultants
* Review/Prepare Client Status reports
* Transfer Knowledge, Monitor Engagement Team Performance, and Provide Mentoring Feedback to staff
* Plan and schedule appropriate resources for Project
* Understand and minimize Risk on the engagement
* Ensure Project scope, goals, constraints and schedule are well understood by the Project team
* Update Project task status (weekly) in Project Management tracking system
* Provide Consulting Manager/General Manager with summary Project status updates on Weekly basis
* Become the central communication channel for Client during the implementation
* Meet with Client and resolve Project problems
* Identify, prepare and get sign off from Client on Project change orders
* Ensure Project deadlines are met
* Conduct Project appraisal meeting with consultant to review the Project success and problems to determine ways to improve processes for future Projects
* Client expectation management and re-setting of Client expectations where necessary
* Support Sales Cycle
- Senior Consultants may be asked to help Sales Team determine whether our ERP solutions are a functional fit for a Prospects needs.
- From time to time a senior consultant may be asked to assist in a Software Demonstration for a Prospect.
* Assist in responding to RFI, RFPs
- Senior Consultants may from time to time be asked to review an RFI and prepare written answers as to how our ERP solution functionality meets the RFI requirements

Requirements:

The primary requirements for the Information Senior Consultant are:

* A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Math, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering, or comparable experience.
* Solid domain knowledge in accounting (e.g. a CPA certification), distribution or manufacturing (e.g. APICdf-tc
