Description
The Senior Consultant - Safety Services will design, develop, and implement software, validation, and training solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech clients in regards to drug safety software. This position will have a moderate degree of autonomy and will work under the general supervision of the Safety Services area lead and the project lead(s). The consultant will provide technical leadership for internal and/or customer project teams and will be responsible for ensuring project timelines are met. This is a home-based position and will require approximately 50% travel.

Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree (prefer computer science, information systems or related area)
- Minimum 3-5 years of pharmaceutical software or software consulting experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of Oracle database, SQL, and PL/SQL experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with Clintrace, Oracle AERS, Argus Safety, and/or ARISg software

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge about computer systems validation, 21 CFR Part 11, and system testing processes
- Proven problem solving skills
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Competent with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint
- Native or fluent English
- Confident, self-motivated, and creative

Additional Preferences:

- Technical certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalents
- Active in pharmaceutical user groups such as OCUG or DIA
- Technical, development, or administrator experience with any of the following software: Clintrial,
Integrated Review, Inform, SAS, Oracle Clinical, TMS, Documentum, Business Objects, or Cognos
- Project management, data migration, software development, or training experience
- Practical exposure to medical coding or to medical dictionaries (MedDRA, WHODRUG, WHOART,
COSTART, ICD, etc.)
- Technical experience with E2B Electronic Submission or CDISC process and software
