Senior Consultant/Server Operations Support:

Location: Mclean VA or Dallas TX

Performance Profile:
Manage and maintain server sites that consist of approximately 90 sites world wide. Provide third level support for all servers in the BearingPoint Microsoft Domain. Develop and maintain all documentation and manuals relating to the maintenance, troubleshooting and building of servers in all offices. Manage and maintain the operation of the Active Directory design. Create and maintain the server policies and procedures for all servers and the server administrative software. Provide leadership and guidance in the diagnosis and repair of servers, and server related network equipment remotely. Plan, direct, and review activities of personnel involved in computer systems network design, connectivity, and implementation. Develop configuration and performance standards for servers; and implement and monitor controls to ensure they are maintained. Install, configure and troubleshoot processes for software, hardware, networking of server equipment. Apply network Security and industry best practices.

Basic Requirements:
2-3 yrs knowledgebase in DNS, DHCP, Proxy services.
2-3 yrs knowledgebase in VBscript and WMI.
Possess 2-3 years experience with corporate antivirus solutions (Symantec), server backup software (Veritas Backup Exec), applying server updates (Update Expert), and remote access (Remote Desktop).
4 to 6 years demonstrable direct experience with managing and supporting Windows 2000/2003 environments.
4 to 6 years practical work experience as a Network Administrator / Engineer.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.

Preferred Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field.
Current MCP in Windows 2000/XP/2003 certification a plus
Be comfortable in a remote networking environment.
Have excellent knowledge of Active Directory.
Have a strong understanding of core TCP/IP protocols.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels in the organization.
Possess the ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently.
