Job Summary:

As a Consultant, SAN/TSM Engineering, the candidate must have an advanced understanding of various tape, disk storage technologies and system backup methodologies. The TSM Administrator will architect and implement solutions, procedures and processes to ensure the availability, accessibility, performance, and protection of stored data and system backups. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support tasks associated with the backup SAN, disk arrays, TSM application and tape library technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and install SAN/Storage/Backup infrastructure

Testing and evaluation of new emerging storage technologies and backup solutions

Capacity Planning

Support and set direction for all Regional sites within the North American region

SAN and backup performance monitoring experience required

Support and maintain SAN/Storage/Backup infrastructure as required

Maintain SAN/Storage/Backup infrastructure

Disaster recovery planning as required

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA/MS/MA + 12 years or PhD + 6 – 7 years or equivalent experience is required. Degree preferably in IS or Business major

Experience required in the SAN, storage and backup technologies will be essential in this position given the complex environment and critical nature of corporate system data. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining high level of expertise in keeping current on this technology.

Vendor Management skills required.

Strong written, verbal & organizational skills.

Experience with mid to large size projects.

Ongoing SOP training.

Minimum ten (10) years working experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree. The work should include a segment in the required field of expertise, specifically SAN and backup technologies combined with either Windows or UNIX administration.

Relocation is not available for this position.
