The Technology Consulting Group (TCG) is a group consisting of senior consultants who develop, sell, and deliver repeatable consulting solutions to our clients. We are seeking a Solutions Consultant focused on Data Center Services including servers, storage, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, consolidation & virtualization, and facilities. The consulting services will be delivered to clients around the US and clients will range in size and complexity from commercial accounts to the largest enterprises and government agencies. The primary objectives of this position will be to meet or exceed revenue generation targets through the delivery of consulting services, assisting in the development of future solutions, supporting the sales and business development teams in the promoting and selling of DCS consulting services, and providing thought leadership to the industry through speaking engagements and whitepaper authoring.

Requirements:

? Deliver plan-phase consulting services around Data Center Solutions initiatives. This includes conducting interviews with project stakeholders, conducting technical workshops, correlating information from numerous sources, building information/relational/sizing/financial models, authoring deliverable documentation, delivering presentations. ? Provide presales support nationally for plan-phase consulting services to Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and the Principal Consultant. This includes conference calls and meetings with customers to gather requirements, authoring statements of work, marshaling internal and/or external resources and assemble teams for delivery of the engagements. ? Contribute to the development of repeatable consultative offerings including authoring descriptions, marketing materials, training materials, and delivering training to internal sales personnel. ? Participate in thought leadership through press opportunities, speaking engagements, and whitepaper authoring ? Bachelors Degree in an IT or Business-related field preferred. ? Minimum of 1 storage product certification and one operating environment certification preferred ? Fluent in Microsoft Server Operating Systems ? Intermediate understanding of Unix & Linux system administrtion and design ? Fluent in Microfost Office Suite including Visio and MS Project ? Fundamental understanding of Ohm's Law and thermal principles as they relate to data center design ? Comprehensive knowledge of Data Center subsystems and concepts including SANs, Data Preservation (Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery), Business Continuity, High Availbility Computing, Rack Layouts, Power and Cooling Systems ? Intermediate understanding of IP networking (routing, switching, security) ? Comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle methodologies and management ? Ability to self manage time, expenses, travel, and project deadlines ? Ability to provide leadership over small teams of consultants on short/long term projects ? Willingness to travel 20-30% ? 8+ years experience in providing consultative services to SMB, Enterprise & Government clients in the areas of Data Centers, Storage, Highly Available Systems/Applications. Experience must be balanced between business & technical consulting. ? 4+ years experience leading large, complex consulting projects including the sourcing of team members, project scheduling/budgeting, deliverable generation ? 3+ years recent & relevant experience with enterprise storage, server, data preservation technologies ? Strong track record of developing and delivering presentations to executives including CEOs, CFO, CIOs, CTOs, and Vice Presidents ? Experience with media (journalists, editors, reporters, etc.) is desired ? Excellent written and oral communication skills ? Comprehensive knowledge of sales process for professional services ? Comprehensive knowledge of industry trends in DCS-related technologies ? Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices in DCS-related architectures ? Project leadership
