Description
Senior Contract Specialist Candidate must HAVE some DoD experience from the DoD side of the house, whether it coming from a civilian employee or contractor on a Government site. HAVE to have a DAWIA Level I II or III certification or equivalent. Equivalent is not "years of experience" but having all the boxes checked to have a Level III (classes, # years, etc.) but can't be certified because they're not in DoD. - HAVE to have some SPS experience, the more experience the better - HAVE to have at least a Secret clearance or had one in the "recent" past so they we could reactivate it in a short amount of time. - Although, our schedule allows for # of years exp. to substitute for a degree, they're not too keen on that here and PREFER a degree. They feel that having a degree says something about the individual in (1) doing the work to get it (2) gaining necessary writing skills required here while doing class work/papers and (3) they are online with their peers regarding professional certifications required of the career field and their peers they'll be working alongside of. - Experience with more complex contracts, incentive, award fee, cost, etc.
