Senior Core Java Developer:

Perm Position - Atlanta Area

The Senior Java Developer will work on mostly new development for the company's main product using Core Java. The software development group is comprised of Elite Java developers, and this role will involve heavy multithreaded development, low-level networking experience at the socket level, TCP/IP with algorithms and protocols, and messaging middleware-development in a high volume environment. You must have 8+ years of core Java development and experience developing multi-threaded, large, scalable Java applications where performance and high volumes of users are important. You will also need prior experience seeing an application through the full life cycle from design through production. Any industry/domain experience with high volume (1 million+ transactions/day) and fast transaction speed (less than 15 milliseconds per transaction) is Key for this position.

Required Skills/Experience

• 8+ Yrs as a Senior Java developer with Heavy Core Java Full Life Cycle development Experience on one or more Large, Highly Transactional Systems which have been Depolyed and Used in Production.
• Strong Experience and Knowledge in each of the following: Java, Core Java, J2EE, Multi-Threaded Development, Concurrency, Java Servlets, JMS, JDBC, Distributed Computing and ANT
• Networking: Low-Level networking experience at the socket level with TCP/IP and Algorithms
• Messaging Middleware: Proven development experience in a High Volume (1 milisecond per transaction) environment and Good Working knowledge of Messaging Middleware, OO Design Concepts and Design Patterns
• Stong Experience developing in a UNIX environment: Linux, AIX, or Solaris are Preferred
• Experience working with the Following Technologies; JMS, EMP, TCP Network Sockets, CORBA, RMI, JBOSS, XML, Object Relational Mapping (ORM, O/RM, O/R Mapping), TIBCO Rendezvous, Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM), JMX, Web Services, MVC Architecture, and Design Patterns
• Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills and a Proven Track Record of Producing and Reviewing Use Cases, Providing Estimates, and Oranizing Tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Security Packages (ie: JAAS, SSL, etc)
• Experience with Software Testing Tools, Regression Testing, and Performance Testing
• Experience with Open Source Technologies (ie; Hibernate, Jakarta Commons, Spring Framework, HiveMind, JUnit, Eclipse, JMX)
• Strong Knowledge of JBoss Application Server
