Senior DB2 Database Administrator - Linux, Unix, and Data Partitioning

Do you have at least 3 years experience as a database professional with extensive DB2 experience?

Also experience in Data Partitioning Features.

You must have deep expertise with IBM DB2 administration and performance tuning to excel at this position.

Required experience - if you have at least 3 years of experience with all of the below . we would love to review your resume:

- Experience in Data Partitioning Features and Materialized Query Tables
- Database administrator with DB2 DBA, installing, configuring, and maintaining DB2 on Linux/Unix
- Diagnosing and solving performance problems in large DB2 databases (DB2 configuration tuning, SQL optimization)
- Writing SQL and stored procedures
- AIX/Linux/Unix

The experience below is a plus!

- AIX/Linux/Unix system administration
- Database logical and physical design for DB2
- DSS/data warehouse design
- Development and administration on SQL Server 2000
- Development and administration on Oracle
- Programming experience in Java, Perl, and/or Unix Shell scripts

What you will be doing:

- Installation and configuration of database Servers for development and production environments for multiple customers
- Identifying database performance problems & implementing solutions
- Developing DB installation, data migration, and maintenance tools
- Defining and enforcing database standards, policies, guidelines, and documentation
- Implementing database maintenance, backup & recovery plans
- Assist in defining requirements and test cases for database components
- Assist development team with DB development tasks: data modeling, complex SQL, stored procedures, optimization, etc.
