Opportunity:
You will own a significant portion of the companys flagship product. You will work closely with staff, customers and partners as an expert in data warehousing, CRM and database applications. The successful candidate will work in a wide variety of product architecture, design, and development activities, as well as supporting customer implementations. This position requires a highly skilled senior level architect with hands on DB2, Data Warehouse, PL/SQL, and Java experience.

Your advanced RDBMS skills have been practiced over 7+ years of work in mission critical software environments. DBA experience in DB2 is a must and work with Oracle and/or Oracle/SQL Server is a definite asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Design/develop software tools that define the industry standards in this space
Develop complex database schemas and stored procedures
Provide Database Optimization both within the product and for individual customer implementations
Support and mentor the development team in all aspects of database use
Provide backup DBA and Systems Administration (However, this is not a purely DBA role)

Qualifications:

A thorough understanding of relational database design, data modeling, physical schema design, stored procedures, and high volume database tuning
In-depth understanding of Data Warehousing, CRM and CDI concepts
DB2 expert with at least 5 years designing DB2 systems/apps and coding DB2 stored procedures.
Extensive stored procedure design and coding experience with 2 or more of the following RDBMS: DB2 (must), Oracle, SQL Server
Must be able to write complex SQL statements with at least two or more of DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and understand porting issues between different relational databases.
Experience using Object Oriented Methodologies, Java, JDBC and ODBC will be a significant plus.
Strong optimization skills, especially with high volume databases (>300GB) and large, distributed J2EE applications.
Preferred 3+ years experience as a DBA with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server under Windows and UNIX.
Significant experience in Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms
Must be able to problem solve outside your areas of expertise.
Ability to think big and grasp the overall picture.
