Extensive experience working with relational databases and writing/executing complex SQL scripts on MS SQL Server. Need sharp financial and business acumen demonstrated by several years of experience in an online transaction processing environment. Insurance and/or telecom background preferred. Overtime expected. 40-50 hrs wk.


Primary Responsibilities:
The overriding goal for this Senior Data Analyst position will be to help drive the accuracy and reliability of CLIENT financial reporting systems. This individual will be responsible for performing data analysis on large data sets pulled from a variety of systems. The individual will be charged with analyzing and understanding data from these sources and identifying data anomalies/issues that could be caused by system transaction processing failures. One of the most important attributes for the Senior Data Analyst is the ability to learn new concepts and master complicated data models quickly and comprehensively.

This Senior Data Analyst will work with various teams and departments across the company to obtain all required/necessary data/information, engaging heavily with IT, Revenue Assurance, Risk Management and Client Services.


Qualifications:
- Education Requirements: Minimum 4-year college degree in related field (computer science, MIS, mathematics) or relevant experience
- Minimum four years of data analysis, preferably in insurance/telecom
- Extensive experience working with relational databases and writing/executing SQL scripts on MS SQL Server
- Advanced MS Excel skills including modeling, pivot tables, VBA functions and formulas
- Ability to participate in multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to work successfully with internal teams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Professional with articulate communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated experience in understanding of general ledger accounts and journal entries
- Ability to work with remote team members and management
- Proactive, reliable, accurate, detailed
