Description
1. Plan, design, define, develop and maintain the logical/physical enterprise operational and data warehouse data architecture. This may include leading and directing less experienced Data Architects.2. Ensure the data model properly supports changes to business requirements. Reviews business requests for data and data usage, researches data source for new and better data feeds. Act as a liaison between business and developers to analyze, design and implement the correct processes that will be supported by an integrated data model.3. Define and administrate standards, policies and procedures designed to support and maintain accurate data models as business evolves and matures. Work closely with QA to develop and support enterprise-wide data standards and policies.4. Assists in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality. Maintains the enterprise metadata repository for better management and end-user access.5. Research, evaluate and recommend tools (query, reporting, transformation, etc.) required to ensure a robust and useable data warehouse/mart solution.6. Assist in the development of project plans and adhere to project timelines.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and 5 years experience in data modeling. Must have a good working knowledge of relational databases, either Oracle or DB2 is a must.
