Description
Acts in a project management/coordination and planning capacity as it relates to the following:

Oversees the hardware planning process for the Orlando Data Center ensuring efficient utilization of the space, power and cooling capacity in the data center in support of the service demands for installation, relocation and decommissioning of client hardware. Interacts at all levels (business planning, scheduling and technical) with senior leaders and technical teams / project teams from Disney and our outsourcing partners.

Participates in the development of strategies to enhance and improve the capabilities and capacities of the data center to ensure client demand for hosting services can be satisfied in a timely manner. This includes participation in the design and implementation of projects providing additional or new capacities of facility infrastructure.

Perform the analysis and design to generate or maintain an efficient work flow model for delivery of facility services to the client community. This work flow model must be aligned and consistent with existing applicable EIT policies and procedures related to facility services and reflect conformity to ITIL practices.

Provide proactive leadership to the internal and external service teams performing the installation / relocation / decommissioning of hardware resources within the data center.

Oversee and lead the development of guidelines, procedures, standards and policies governing working within an EIT data center.

Lead and contribute to the analysis and reporting of data center infrastructure capacities (space, power and cooling). Provide proactive reporting to management and executive leadership on necessary future enhancements to satisfy client growth demands.

Oversee and develop relationships with external service providers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products and services to support the data center facility mission objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Project Management (60% of time)
-Receive, process and track Request Management (service requests) assigned to the facility department via Service Center.
-Participate in relevant client or partner project team meetings for requests seeking data center services.
-Schedule hardware activities and oversee their execution to ensure timely and quality service.
-Oversee assigned facility maintenance or enhancement projects; typically only those efforts related to the building shell, landscaping, and janitorial.
Strategy and Planning (30% of time)
-Hardware growth planning within the data center.
-Development of standards and processes in support of EIT data center facility mission. Examples include the “Working within the Data Center” publication, cabinet standards, Request Management task structure, etc.
-Represent EIT Data Center Facilities team on P&P development & review when applicable to EIT data centers.

Analysis, Design and Reporting (10% of time)
-Analysis and reporting relating to key data center metrics (activity trends, capacity consumption, capacity demands over time, and predictive forecasts).
-Workflow design for the installation / relocation / decommission and material procurement processes.
-Design and support of Excel or Access database structures to capture relevant facility metrics.
-Management reporting and verbal plus written communication with senior EIT and partner leadership.

Required Qualifications
-BS degree in IT or Business Admin or related field and 3+ years related data center experience OR equivalent years of progressive related IT experience
-Strong project management experience & skills.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Familiarity or experience with IT hardware.
Desired Qualifications
-Basic knowledge of data center power and cooling.
-Basic knowledge of network OSI Layer 1
-ITIL Bootcamp, ITIL Practioner preferred
Other
-Familiarity and experience with the HP Service Center product.
-Familiarity and experience with MS Project product.
-Familiarity and experience in capacity planning (a plus if related to data center metrics of space, power and cooling).
-Experienced user of MS Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook.
