Description
Helps develop the enterprise data strategy as well as a roadmap to transform the data environment from one that has been siloed into one that is aligned and integrated. Develops key aspects of the information architecture, including data models, data flow diagrams, and metadata. This individual will work closely with both business users and technical staff to guide the most effective design of information systems.

Responsibilities:
- Looks across multiple sets of information requirements and develops information architecture strategies that optimize reuse of both data and software.
- Designs flexible yet practical solutions in an open team setting
- Acts as a business data subject matter expert educating other teams
- Gathers and documents business data requirements
- Creates ER (conceptual, logical, and physical) and dimensional models
- Analyzes data using SQL and other tools

Skills:
- Any data modeling tool (ERWin preferred)
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong SQL skills
- A development background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of SOA principles and data service/virtualization layers
- Knowledge of Records Management is a plus but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential in dealing with individuals across many different disciplines with different expectations
