We have an immediate need for a Senior Data Storage Engineer that can be located anywhere in the US, with willingness to travel.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Work remotely and travel nationally! We seek a senior level individual to join the CDI team in the role of Senior Data Storage Engineer.

The Data Storage Engineer is responsible for managing, assessing and making recommendations on the networks possible specialties - XIV, SVC, etc.for a Virtualization project.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for evaluating and understanding storage nationally
- Responsible for keeping track of existing storage usage trending and making recommendation for future growth.
- Accountable to review problems reported with storage and to track those problems and recommending resolution.
- Responsible for researching future storage requirements with the user community and provide solutions based on those requirements
- Responsible for understanding and reviewing complete set of implementation documentation.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuance solution as it relates to data storage is a plus
- Responsible for providing suggestions on highly available storage and backup environment to eliminate single points of failure.
- Responsible for providing an efficient data recovery capability in case of disaster.
- The Storage Engineer will utilize common tools and methodologies to perform these tasks such that these functions are performed in the most cost-efficient manner.
Individual can work remotely, but will need to be willing to travel nationally. Due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of some of the information, qualified candidates must be US Citizens. Please submit resume for consideration no later than Tuesday, September 22nd, at 12PM EST.
