The Senior Oracle DBA installs, maintains, and supports Oracle and Oracle utilities on Sun systems. Three to five years experience with Oracle are required. Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience required. Prior experience supporting Oracle 8I in a production environment. • The Senior Oracle DBA will plan, coordinate, and administer Oracle databases including database definition, structures, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, protection, modeling, and performance tuning. Key Responsibilities/Duties: • Maintain Oracle to allow for maximum uptime and reliability • Configure Oracle backups and recovery plans • Maintain Oracle performance by configuring disk subsystems in proper manner • Support Greenpoint projects where needed by applying Oracle knowledge • Write SQL scripts to automate repetitive tasks

Requirements: Be proficient in Oracle 9i/10g Database administration skills • Understand high speed disk arrays and disk concepts such as RAID 5, mirroring, and striping • Bourne/Korn Shell and SQL scripting skills • Ability to identify and tune inefficient SQL statements
