CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Senior Database Administrator.

Years Experience 6 to 9 years
Description Provide DBA Support, including system administration, for Oracle database systems and projects. Work with other team members to perform product upgrades, application upgrades, design and development of databases, performance tuning, database security and auditing, and provide ongoing production support of database systems. Utilization of Oracle products in performing normal database administration duties. DBA must be well spoken and articulate. Must work well in a team. Specific Technical Skills (see order comments)

Comments Specific Technical Skills: Knowledge of VS and DBA views and how they relate to the data dictionary. Ability to install Oracle, apply patchsets, and creates setup databases. Thorough knowledge of Oracle Architecture SGA, PGA, Binary structure, Listener, TNSNames, SQLNet. Able to read, understand, and execute SQL, SQLPlus, and PL/SQL code. Proficient with Oracle tools - OEM, GRID, SQL Tracing, and Explain Plan. Good understanding of Oracle security model and be proficient in security setup and maintenance. Working knowledge of SQLNet, TNSNAMES, and listener and be able to troubleshoot and debug errors generated at any of these levels. Proficient with UNIX structure, UNIX security, reading and understanding UNIX scripts, and VI editor in UNIX. In addition as Senior Level Database Administrator: Performance tuning, Troubleshooting operating system issues versus database issues, Cloning DBs, Moving file systems, More in depth in monitoring (i.e. GRID detail analysis), More in depth with Unix commands and scripts, Understand and manage memory, Understand index rebuilds, Knowledge of partitioning including reorganizations within DB that do and do not require outages, Experience with more advanced tools with 10g such as flashback, FRA, data guard, recycle bin, etc.df-tc
