Description
AIG - Travel Guard seeks a highly motivated Senior DBA with over seven years experience in SQL Server. Expertise is required in:

Installing and configuring SQL Server 2005
Database upgrades and migrations
Patching SQL Server Instance
Configuring and maintaining backups, backup/restore, warm standby, log shipping etc
Instance and database performance tuning, including the use of Perfmon, tracing, explain plans and SQL query tuning, index tuning, storage and system diagnostics
Rebuilding Indexes
Writing SQL and T-SQL, including queries, triggers, stored procedures, etc
User management, including adding/removing and security
Partitioning
Reorganizing Databases
High Availability Architecture including clustering, database mirroring
Strong background in Windows Server operating systems and SANS
Candidates must also have:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong mentoring skills
Strong sense of professionalism
Exceptional candidates will also demonstrate experience with:

Data Warehouse environments
Configuring and maintaining SQL Server Replication, primarily transactional replication with updatable subscriptions
SQL Server Integration Services
SQL Server Reporting Services
VMWare
MCITP DBA certification is a plusdf-tc
